The Cindy Walker Birthday Bash presented by Texas Voices
Local entrepreneur Bud Box and his Camp House Concerts have teamed up with “Texas Voices,” to put on a live music bash and fundraiser on Sunday, July 17, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Billed as the Cindy Walker Birthday Bash, it honors the famed songwriter and will raise funds for the Cindy Walker Foundation.
There are 10 exciting live acts scheduled for the show, in addition to silent and live auctions. The $50 tickets include a barbecue brisket dinner. PRE-SALE TICKETS ONLY, as admission will be limited.
Realizing the warm weather, organizers will set up tents, umbrellas, and a special misting tent.
For more information, contact CampHouseConcerts.com, call Bud Box at 210-275-7558, or find them on Facebook. Sponsors include Lutz Auction Service, Jacobra Energy, Janicek Insurance, All Tucked Inn, Richard Hayden Real Estate, and Wilson County News.
Funds raised at this event will all go to the Cindy Walker Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to restore the historic site and former Texas home of the Country Music Hall of Fame songwriter’s home in Mexia, Texas, in Limestone County about 40 miles East of Waco.
Camp House Concerts is a mid-size outdoor entertainment venue located “back in the brush” in Nixon, Texas. Texas Voices also will be working on a documentary film about Cindy Walker.
Camp House Concerts’s mission is to share the live music experience by connecting like-minded individuals who share an appreciation for the fine “guitar pickin’s” of singers and songwriters from all over. Camp House Concerts features country, blues, and local well-known singers and songwriters.
